Research shows that exposing the body to extreme conditions for short periods puts it into survival mode, strengthening it to better cope with stress, colds & illnesses. Optimal temperature: 8-10°C. Optimal time: Beginners: 1-2 minutes. Advanced: 2-5 minutes. Research demonstrates that cold therapy provides the greatest benefits for 2 minutes, 3 times per week. A longer dose does not provide any additional benefit.
